For you / Dentists and clinicians
By role
Less screen. More patient.
You didn’t train for six years to type. Yet every day goes on notes, consent forms and admin, with your eyes on a screen instead of the person in the chair.
Joyful writes the visit as you go, so the record shows what happened in the chair. Consent is signed before you pick up a handpiece, and your notes follow Dental Protection guidance, so they hold up if anyone asks. Every clinical workflow is signed off by a practising dentist on our team.

What your day looks like
From the morning huddle to the last locked note, the clinical day follows one clear path.
The day list shows who is booked, who has arrived, who is waiting and who is in surgery. Only the lead clinician starts a visit, and only on the day.
The huddle tells you who is in which room and which patients need extra care before the first one sits down.
Each visit runs in order: medical history, what they came in about, then the work. Adults get a BPE, under 18s get an sBPE, and wear and pocket charts sit on the tooth.
Every finding gets a decision, and accepted treatment goes to reception to book.
Patients sign consent on their phone before treatment starts, and the wording they signed never changes.
You lock each visit with your PIN. Any change afterwards needs a reason, and marking the patient as leaving lines up their next recall.
The old way and the Joyful way
The old way
The chart in one place, the X-ray in another, and notes written from memory after the last patient.
The Joyful way
The visit writes itself, you lock it, and the patient signs before you start.
